Cinema Samen: One film, more stories
The concept is simple: you choose a film and buy a Cinema Samen ticket; we'll arrange the company. There's no dating and no obligations - just watching a film together. And who knows? Maybe you'll have a conversation that sticks.
In collaboration with Urgent.fm, Film Fest Gent is introducing a new concept that brings cinema and people together. Cinema Samen is an accessible way to meet new people at the festival. Choose a film from our Explore Zone programme - cinema that dares and sparks conversation. Meet your fellow film fans 30 minutes beforehand, walk together to the theatre and experience the story on the big screen. Afterwards, enjoy a drink and a chat in the Film Fest Café.
You don't need to bring someone with you - coming alone is the point. Connect with a diverse group of young visitors, including students, international youth, film beginners and cinephiles.
How does it work?
Buy a Cinema Samen ticket for a film in the Explore Zone programme.
You will then receive an email with all the practical information, including where and when you will meet your group.
Meet your film buddies at the meeting point near the cinema.
Watch the film together, then enjoy a fun chat at the Film Fest Café afterwards.
Price: €15 (weekend, evening) ; €13 (other) - drink included
Groups will consist of two or more people. If a group cannot be formed, you will be informed in advance.
