Kidsproof

Within Film Fest Ghent’s film programme there is always an important spot reserved for the Kidsproof festival section. This section includes made to measure films for the little ones, future filmmakers or the entire family. The highlight of this section is undoubtedly the Kidsproof Family Day, where Film Fest Ghent welcomes all ages for a day full of family and film pleasure.

School screenings

Would you like to come to Film Fest Ghent with your class or school? Well, you can. Every festival edition includes an exciting series of school screenings. Children of all ages from kindergarten to secondary can ignite their passion for film with screenings that have added educational value. Each film will be given an enthusiastic introduction by a presenter and will be followed by stimulating activities that respond to the film. For each screening Film Fest Ghent will provide a convenient course map to help students prepare and to facilitate their discussion afterwards.

Teacher day

Every year, in collaboration with Onderwijscentrum Gent and JEF, Film Fest Ghent organises a day full of inspiration for teachers. During workshops and talks, participants are provided with concrete tools to engage creatively with image and film material in the classroom and are encouraged to exchange methodologies.
