A bike courier sex worker (yes, really) becomes the prime suspect when a bloody serial killer starts taking out his clients. Inspired by 70s porn and thrillers, Anything That Moves serves up a gloriously shameless cocktail of genres and bodily fluids with a heart for sexual liberation and a hard-hitting penchant for retro. A dark comedy in vibrant colors. Bring a date.
Through the app of Snaxxx, cheerful bike courier Liam delivers more than just snacks—he also serves up sex. His hungry clients are always left satisfied, until a serial killer begins leaving bodies along his delivery route, making Liam look far less innocent in the eyes of local police. Unbelievable but true, Anything That Moves fuses campy irony with tender honesty in a feverish thriller that doubles as both an ode to and a parody of ’70s porn. Eccentric director Alex Phillips plays gleefully with pulsating colors on glorious Super 16mm film, the stock of choice for low-budget productions of the era. Channeling the energetic spirit of Gregg Araki and John Waters, he wags his tail at sexual taboos, while in true David Lynch fashion, something sinister lurks beneath the flowerbed of the American dream. You don’t need to be Freud to get how this cult-in-the-making fires on more than one level. A gloriously filthy delight.
