CAGES by Deep Pal highlights a particular street in Bombay: Falkland Road, 400 metres long and home to about 100. 000 prostitutes who, without medical supervision, have to take care of the men of the 10-million dollar city of Bombay. The police turn a blind eye or are corrupt. 12 dental clinics are cover-ups for abortion clinics. Deep Pal interviews a few prostitutes who are far from happy. Hidden cameras record their comings and goings during the day and occasionally inside a brothel.
