The winner and the successor of Benji Merrison's score for SAS: Red Notice will be revealed at the World Soundtrack Awards Ceremony & Concert on 22 October.
Parasite composer Jung Jae-il on poster 49th Film Fest Ghent

Film Fest Ghent launches its poster for the 49th edition. For the first time, a composer appears on the campaign image of the festival, which has a unique focus on film music for decades now. To highlight the art of composing and the importance of music in film, South Korean composer Jung Jae-il, known for his scores for Parasite and Squid Game, is front and centre of the poster of Film Fest Ghent 2022. His music will be performed live during the festival's film music concert Korean Composers on 20 October.
French composer Bruno Coulais to receive Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 World Soundtrack Awards

At the 22nd edition of the World Soundtrack Awards - the annual film music awards of Film Fest Ghent - French composer Bruno Coulais will be celebrated for his contribution to the art of film music. The World Soundtrack Academy honours Coulais with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The World Soundtrack Awards will be presented at the end of the 49th edition of Film Fest Ghent during a ceremony and concert on Saturday 22 October.
Creative Partnership Lab: call for young filmmakers

Are you aware of the power of music for your films, but have you not yet found the right vocabulary to go all the way with your composer in your creative partnership? Then let Film Fest Ghent take you on an immersive exploration through the world of film music in the Creative Partnership Lab during the WSA Film Music Days in October (20-22 October).
Sections & Tags
Making a selection out of more than 100 films is not easy, we are aware of that. Therefore, we would like to help you with our Sections and Tags! All the different facets of our festival (short films, avant-premières, world cinema, TV series, films for children, etc.) have their own section. Would you like to focus on a particular theme or subject (young people, LGBTQ+, new voices, Belgian cinema...)? In that case you can follow the Tags.
Submit your film
The 52nd Film Fest Gent is scheduled 8-19 October 2025. The deadline for entering your film for the next edition is 1 July 2025.
Press accreditation
From October 8 to 19, Film Fest Gent will once again be the meeting point for the Belgian and international film and film music profession. With a festival accreditation you can experience all industry events from the front row. From August, journalists and members of the press who want to follow the festival can apply for an accreditation. Upon presentation of an official press card or film press card, this accreditation is free of charge. The deadline for the accreditation application is October 2025.
Professional accreditation
Starting August, film professionals wishing to attend the festival (8 -19 October) can apply for accreditation through their personal MyFFG profile on this website. The deadline for the accreditation application is October 2025.
Accreditations for students
Starting September, film students wishing to attend the festival (Oct. 8-19) can apply for an accreditation through their personal MyFFG profile on our website. The deadline for the accreditation application is October 2025.
Accreditations for journalism students
