Press accreditation

From 7 to 18 October 2026, Film Fest Gent will once again be the meeting point for the Belgian and international film and film music profession. With a festival accreditation you can experience all industry events from the front row. From 1 August, journalists and members of the press who want to follow the festival can apply for an accreditation. Upon presentation of an official press card or film press card, this accreditation is free of charge. The deadline for the accreditation application is 1 October 2026.

Press badge standard

  • Early Bird rate (until 14 September): € 100
  • Rate from 15 September: € 115
  • Rate on presentation of an official press card: € 0

The pass grants:

  • access to the press visions from October 6 (day programme in Kinepolis Ghent)
  • access to the Press & Industry Office at Kinepolis
  • access to the online Festival Scope VOD library with a selection of festival films
  • access to the press & industry events such as the film and film music masterclasses and panels
  • if necessary, you will get access to (a selection of) public screenings from 8 to 18 October, based on availability. Screenings on Sunday 19 October are restricted to regular audience only and so no tickets will be made available for the screenings.

The pass grants:

The pass grants temporary access to the public movie theaters. For registration of press & industry events you will be accompanied by the press team. No seating is provided so please leave the room at the start of the film.

The festival asks accredited press to forward a copy of the coverage.

Frequently asked questions

  • How do I request my accreditation?

    Starting August 1, you can apply for accreditation through your personal MyFFG profile. The deadline is October 1.

    Incomplete or poorly filled out applications will be processed after all others. Completing your application form does not guarantee an accreditation. Applications after the deadline will not be processed.

  • How do I book tickets for the public screenings?

    Tickets for public film screenings have limited availability for accredited visitors. You can book them online as well as in the Press & Industry Office.

    • You can make a reservation starting from 8.30 a.m. the day of the screening. After logging into MyFFG, you will receive one free ticket per screening if available.
    • You get access to the venue when showing both the ticket and the accreditation pass.
    • If you booked a ticket but aren't able to attend, please cancel the reservation on MyFFG (physical tickets at the P&I Office).
  • How and where do I get my pass?

    As soon as your application has been approved, you will receive an e-voucher which you can use to collect your accreditation pass from Tuesday 6 October 2026 at the Press & Industry Office, open from 8.30 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Kinepolis Gent (Ter Platen 12).

Apply for a press accreditation from 1 August

Starting 1 August, you can apply for accreditation through your personal MyFFG profile. You do need a press MyFFG profile for this. If you have a regular user profile and wish to change it to a press profile, you can email pers@filmfestival.be.
