Vägen ut (Breaking Out)

Reine is an unemployed actor who in desperation accepts a job as a Creative Director at a high security prison. He manages to persuade the prison boss to let him start up an acting group that will eventually perform a play in a public theatre. Thinking that this could be their chance to break out of jail, five enthusiastic cons sign up for the amateur dramatics. As rehearsals proceed, the inmates discover more about themselves and their true feelings than they have in years. Wonderful rehabilitation - only not everyone thinks so. The chief guard and the most dangerous inmate oppose the scheme for different reasons and between them they nearly manage to derail the performance and destroy the cons/actor’s chance of escape forever.
