The Blackout

Seeking to escape the pressures of sudden fame, Matty, a hot young movie star, flees to Miami where he hopes to do a little introspection and self-analysis. Instead he descends into a self-destructive morass of sex, booze and drugs. He reaches a lowpoint when he tortures his girl friend Annie for not responding enthusiastically to his proposal because she has just had an abortion that she claims he asked her to get. The frightening thing is that Matty doesn't remember the conversation. The loss of the baby and his sudden memory lapse throws Matty into a deep depression. Wanting to help, his pal Mickey takes the despondent actor out for a wild night that culminates in Matty's sleeping with a virginal teenaged girl who is also named Annie.
