Thani Thatuwen Piyambanna (Flying with one wing)

A small town in the south of Sri Lanka. A young woman disguised as a man is working as an assistant mechanic in a motor garage. She is married to another woman. One day she has an accident and loses consciousness. The doctor who examines her discovers her true gender. He does not reveal the woman’s secret as he plans to use his knowledge for his own benefit at an appropriate time in the future. However, the woman’s reaction is one of increasing panic while the doctor is harassing her on the phone more and more often. At last she comes to visit him regularly at the clinic. At the same time, a colleague in the garage who has gay inclinations follows her around and attributes those visits to the clinic to nothing but an usual friendship with the doctor. This propels him to believe that he himself would stand a chance of striking a gay relationship with his colleague. (press kit)
