Recently discharged from a psychiatric institution, a young woman replies to a job ad for a lawyer’s secretary. Lee, revisited by the self-destructive obsessions which have taken her from the family home which had proved so damaging to the clinic’s pleasant park, goes to see Mr. Grey, who offers her the first job she has ever had. But when she makes her first mistake, a typing error in a report, the lawyer insults her with astonishing viciousness. Lee, however, accepts these violent reprimands and soon starts prompting them with deliberate spelling mistakes in reports, and by slipping worms into the post. Buttock spanking moves into the territory of real sadomasochism: a submissive Snow White, Lee wears leather handcuffs to serve coffee, and carefully spills the right number of drops to hasten her punishment. But one day, to their mutual surprise, chastisements become caresses. Lee and Grey embrace passionately like two people in love. (www.pardo.ch)
