The story Lenica tells us, in drawing and collage, is the fable of Monsieur Tête, whose head is full of individualist thought - really unfit for the society in which we live and consume. He revolts against "the mediocrity of his life" and against the conformist demeanour of his fellow-citizens. But he has little success. Resigned, he accepts the masses and becomes a man without profile, a "model-citizen, full of common sense and virtue".
