In the hip, urban Los Angeles neighbourhood of Silverlake, strangers with apparently nothing in common interact with humor, love, rage, fear and generosity. Beginning with the death of a bug, each of these strangers' actions starts a wild chain of events. The story includes lovers who break up and return, a deranged restaurant owner, a blue-collar worker who wants to save innocent creatures and people, a horribly cheerful ticket-writing meter maid, and a fortune-cookie designer who suffers from mood swings, all leading to one surprising conclusion. The force of cause-and-effect links these characters unwittingly in a common web of destiny. In this six-degrees-of-separation story, all actions have consequences and the results prove to be happily unexpected.
