Composer and WSA Guest of Honour Debbie Wiseman (Tom & Viv, To Olivia, Wilde) is one of the most treasured film and television composers in the UK and elsewhere. Known for her regular collaborations with British directors like Peter Kosminsky, John Hay, Lewis Gilbert, and Stephen Fry, she was appointed Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday Honours List for services to music. In conversation with Ruben De Gheselle, Wiseman will talk about her decades-long career, the working process behind her scores, her ambitions and sources of inspiration, and so much more.

Ruben De Gheselle, known for his intimate, minimal, and hypnotic scores, is quickly establishing himself as one of Belgium’s most sought-after film composers. He composed for numerous acclaimed international productions, including Young Hearts; Clara Sola; There Was, There Was Not.
