Covid safe hospitality event Film Fest Ghent

Your safety is our priority. We always follow the guidelines enforced by the Belgian government. Our screening rooms are properly ventilated and equipped with a CO₂ monitor. For our hospitality events, we ask you to present your Covid Safe Ticket.

Practical info

We ask you to have these documents ready when you arrive at Film Fest Ghent:

  • Invitation

  • Identity card (or passport or driver's license)

  • Covid Safe Ticket (app or print, for anybody over 12 years old)

Be prepared:

  • Check in advance if your certificates are in order and make sure the battery of your smartphone is sufficiently charged.

  • Wear a mask up to the Covid Safe Ticket checkpoint.

  • Please stay at home if you show symptoms of illness.

Covid Safe Ticket

The Covid Safe Ticket is needed to gain access to events where you are not obligated to wear a mask or social distance. Everybody over the age of 12 is obligated to present a valid ID with picture (identity card, passport, driver's license) and a Covid Safe Ticket, either in print or on your smartphone.

You can get a Covid Safe Ticket if you meet one of the following conditions:

  • you own a vaccination certificate: you are fully vaccinated for more than two weeks

  • you have a recovery certificate of less than six months

  • your PCR test was negative and is valid = the day of the test plus two days

  • your rapid antigen test taken by medically trained personel was negative and is valid = day of the test plus one day


You can obtain your Covid Cafe Ticket via the mobile app CovidSafeBE or websites like Mijn Burgerprofiel, mijngezondheid.be or MyHealthViewer. You don't have a smartphone? You can download and print your personal Covid Safe Ticket via mijngezondheid.belgie.be.

Film Fest Ghent measures

Our rooms are properly ventilated and equipped with a CO₂ monitor. Film Fest Ghent staff and volunteers will wear masks and socially distance. There will be hand sanitiser available at the festival.

Please mind that you cannot get tested at Film Fest Ghent on the day of the event. If you are experiencing covid symptoms, we kindly ask you to stay home.

Frequently asked questions

  • Do visitors have to wear a mask? And what about social distancing rules?

    Film Fest Ghent follows the current guidelines enforced by the Belgian government. Visitors have to wear a mask up to the Covid Safe Ticket checkpoint. The official guidelines also require you to respect the social distancing rules while queuing. After the verification of your ID and Covid Safe Ticket, you no longer have to wear a mask and the social distancing rules no longer apply (both inside and outside). In the screening rooms, there is no need to leave empty seats between the different bubbles. We do ensure the safety of our visitors by providing alcohol gel. Our staff will wear a mask and they will also keep the necessary distance from the visitors.

  • Where can I request the Covid Safe Ticket?

    You can obtain your Covid Cafe Ticket digitally via the mobile app CovidSafeBE and websites like Mijn Burgerprofiel, mijngezondheid.be or MyHealthViewer. For this you either need a digital key (such as itsme) or your ID, pin code and card reader. If you wish, you can receive the Covid Safe Ticket by mail as well. In that case, please take into account a delivery time of about one week.

  • What if I don't have a smartphone?

    In case you don't have a smartphone, you can download and print your personal Covid Safe Ticket via mijngezondheid.belgie.be.

  • Do children also need to have a Covid Safe Ticket?

    Children under the age of 12 can access the festival site without any additional checks. Every visitor from the age of 12 and older, has to present a Covid Safe Ticket to access the festival site.

  • Can I eat and drink during the screening?

    Yes. After the verification of your Covid Safe Ticket, you no longer have to wear a mask. This also applies in the screening rooms, so it possible to eat or drink something there.
