Sven De Hondt

Sven De Hondt fondly remembers skipping school to attend his very first Film Fest Gent screenings of Hirokazu Kore-eda's Nobody Knows and Michel Gondry's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. He was part of the festival's Explore Zone Jury in 2010 and maintained a good relationship with the festival ever since. He worked as a writer on film for various websites and magazines, and as a guest film programmer for the Bath film festival. Since 2013, he 's been living in Bristol where he works for Watershed, an independent cultural cinema. In the past he has attended film festivals in Cannes, Venice, Berlin and Toronto, and programmed various film seasons and events, focusing on a wide array of different topics.
