Michiel Philippaerts

Michiel Philippaerts is programmer and short film coordinator for Film Fest Gent since 2019, after having participated in two editions as programme assistant. He was involved in curating and organising several local film festivals in Ghent and was a jury member of the Dutch-Belgian Visser-Neerlandia Prize for Scenario in 2018, 2019 and 2021. As a critic, he writes for Kortfilm.be and Talking Shorts. In 2021, Michiel became a member of the short film committee of the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF).
