Film Fest Gent adds films by Terrence Malick, James Mangold and Taika Waititi to the programme. Film Fest Gent added three movies by film studio FOX (released in Belgium via The Walt Disney Company-Benelux starting in October) and they are sure to bring a solid addition to the programme. 'Jojo Rabbit' and 'A Hidden Life', two films tackling extreme ideologies and 'Le Mans '66', an economic race for glory based on real events.

In 'Jojo Rabbit', starring Scarlett Johansson, director Taika Waititi breaks all conventions with a story about a boy who idolises an imaginary Adolf Hitler. Waititi himself takes on the role of Hitler in this surprising dramedy.
To be seen on Saturday 12/10 - 20:00 - Kinepolis 3
Belgian release on 9 January 2020

With the Terrence Malick film 'A Hidden Life', which premiered in Cannes, we thematically stick to the Second World War while switching sides: we follow an Austrian farmer who refuses to fight alongside the nazis. With performances by Matthias Schoenaerts and Johan Leysen, the Belgian presence in the cast cannot be overlooked.
To be seen on Sunday 13/10 - 16:30 - Kinepolis 4
Belgian release on 6 February 2020

To top it all off, we are screening 'Le Mans '66' with Christian Bale and Matt Damon. Also known as 'Ford v. Ferrari', this feature tells the story of Ford's 1963 attempt to buy out the Italian sports car manufacturer. Fun fact: the score for this film was made by none other than World Soundtrack Awards central guest Marco Beltrami!
To be seen on Monday 14/10 - 19:45 - Kinepolis 5
Belgian release on 13 November 2019
