From the 22nd until the 26th of July, Film Fest Ghent organizes a series of open-air film screenings with the main theme of 'Hot Summer' in the lovely Bijloke site in Ghent, kicking off the summer festival BIJLOKE WONDERLAND.

5 film screenings in open-air

The festival will present 5 film screenings in open air in July.

Wim De Witte, program director of Film Fest Ghent: "Like many other cultural events, we had to cancel some of our film screenings during the year. As such, we are now particularly thrilled to provide people with the opportunity to watch a film on the big screen among others. Moreover, this will be a suitable trial run for the coronaproof edition of Film Fest Ghent 2020 in October."

BIJLOKE WONDERLAND

Film Fest Ghent organizes these film screenings within the framework of the summer festival BIJLOKE WONDERLAND. This is an intimate and coronaproof festival in the lovely courtyard of the Bijloke site. Film, jazz, classical and contemporary music, music theater, piano on Sunday morning, literature, family shows, lectures: the cultural organizations of Ghent are eagerly awaiting to provide people with the joy of culture, wonderment and of each other.

BIJLOKE WONDERLAND is an initiative of De Bijloke and LOD music theater, in collaboration with partners of the Bijloke (SPECTRA, STAM, Studio Orka, Jazzlab, Symphony Orchestra Flanders) and from the outside (Paard van Troje, et al.). Film Fest Gent is also committed to the initiative.

Moreover, BIJLOKE WONDERLAND is supported by Stad Gent. You can find more information about the festival and the film screenings of Film Fest Ghent via www.bijlokewonderland.be
