Great Scott! On Wednesday 21 October 2015, we’ll celebrate the 30th anniversary of return of Marty McFly. At Film Fest Gent you can enjoy the entire trilogy of ‘Back To The Future’ on the big screen.

The first ‘Back To The Future’ film is turning 30 and we are celebrating this birthday on 21 October 2015, exactly the date when eighties teenager Michael J. Fox ends up in another time period the first two parts of the trilogy with his DeLorean that was built into a time machine. Robert Zemeckis’ trilogy is a charming, cunning and noisy mix of S-F, teenage romance and ironic nostalgia of America with the first television-sets and early Rock’n’roll. Part II solely exists out of variations and corrections on the original. Part III is a reversed time travel where the young hero ends up in the Far West. Taken as a whole, this is an inventive and daring (especially for a bigger studio) narrative experiment, that builds up with the triumphant score of Alan Silvestri, the central guest on the WSAwards concert, that closes this festival edition.
