Zasjtsjitnik Sedov

USSR, 1937. Mass repression by Stalin is in full swing, The main character, Sedov the lawyer, takes up the defense of three agronomists from a small town, who have been sentenced to death for 'acts of sabotage'. He accepts to defend them, even though he knows that might cost him his own life. In the end he manages to save the three men from execution, but this precedent is used in order to shoot all involved in this case together with those who are not involved at all...
