Vinaya, nine years old, lives with Granny in an old cottage. Together with Victor, a Brabantine draught horse, she is the only initiate in Vinaya's imaginary world. Granny tells Vinaya about Sensei who once travelled over the mountain in search of a better world but came back after a while. Once, Vinaya knows, he will find the old wise man. Life lays about.
One day, Vinaya finds Granny dead. During his absence, Victor was transported to the abattoir. Vinaya is left alone. He is desperately searching for someone who will help him to bury Granny.
