Director: Alejandro Agresti Composer: Luis Salinas, Paul M. van Brugge With: Julieta Cardinali, Carmen Maura, Jean Pierre Noher
Argentina, in the sixties. Nine-year-old Valentin is living with his grandmother. His father is often away and his mother disappeared shortly after he was born. Valentin often dreams of becoming an astronaut, and also of his father finding a new love, who would be kind, not only to his father but also to him. The only place where Valentin finds love and understanding is at his friend Robert's and with jazz musician Rufo. When he tries to discover the truth about his mother's disappearance, he encounters a lot of resistance. No one is prepared to tell him anything. The day his grandmother dies, he is more than ever convinced that he must find the answer.
