The growing epidemic of teenage drug addiction is presented through the story of high school senior Phyllis Howard. Having started smoking weed with friends, her drug use escalated when she met Chuck, a pusher whose goal was to get people hooked on narcotics. Phyllis never thought her first hit of heroin would lead to addiction, but after hitting rock bottom, she would need outside help to overcome it — if she was able to do so at all.
