Based on Joseph Conrad's masterpiece, this compelling psychological thriller set in 19th century London tells the story of a secret agent provocateur Adolf Verloc. He is secretly
working for the police and a "foreign power" while ostensibly he is a member of an anarchist
group in Soho. He is required by his masters to betray the anarchists in some spectacular way.
The plan goes horribly wrong, and the repercussions for him and his wife Winnie are
dramatically different from those that Verloc intended. He gets lured into a labyrinth of
corruption and destroys everything in life he values. Betrayal, both personal and professional,
has dramatic consequences in this moving account of greed, sacrifice and the loss of true love.
