Gregg Araki

The Living End

Edition 1992
81' - 1992 - Crime, Mystery, Drama, Comedy, Romance - Dialogue: English
Director: Gregg Araki With: Mike Dytri, Craig Gilmore, Mark Finch
The first image of the film, the sentence 'Fuck the world' sprayed onto a wall covered in graffiti, is a fairly accurate description of the frame of mind of Jon and Luke, two HIV positive men. Luke is sexy and Iets himself drift. Jon is a confused writer who has just found out that he is positive to the virus. Both of them are struck in L.A. The city seems cold and unfriendly, full of serial killers out to get lesbians, crazy characters, hysterical spouse murderers and bloody dangerous gay-bashers. Jon and Luke meet by chance and begin a stormy love affair.
