Three boys, Valera, Karim and Jacob, live and go to secondary school in the city of Alma Ata. Three rebels and yet they are also ordinary secondary pupils. Aftter the last day of school they set out to celebrate, slip into the bar of the skating rink and steal an electric guitar. When Valera’s stepfather, with whom he has a difficult relationship, finds the guitar, he calls the police. Thinking Valera is a member of a gang, the cops beat him up badly. Karim and Jacob, thinking Valera was betrayed by his stepfather, want to get their own back… A gloomy look at youngsters in a faraway city, where seems to be no prospect for a happy life.
