Silvia Prieto

This is the story of a woman who is obsessed by the idea that another woman has the same name. On her 27th birthday she decides to change her life. She takes a job as a waitress and meets with her ex-husband Marcelo who gives her $1,200. She buys a canary, and chickens which she fanatically cuts up into little pieces. Four chickens into 48 pieces - for the refrigerator. She meets Brite who advertises washing powder and who has the same name as the soap product. When she spends a weekend with her canary in Mar del Plata she meets an Italian who tells her that there is a second Silvia Prieto. Her fragile world becomes unstuck. First investigations soon turn into a confusing game of subtle riddles, moving between comedy, parody and profundity.
