Margherita and Paolo are a perfect couple: still happy after 20 years of marriage. On her birthday Margherita is presented a video camera from her friend Tony. From the moment Tony arrives at their flat with the camera already recording, the film is seen through the eye of the camera. The camera has all the modem appliances, which enable it to do everything. lt even has the power of speech, Gradually, Margherita finds herself treating the camera as a friend and confidant, opening up to the camera and recounting her relationship with her withdrawn husband.
