Agnethe is a 35-year-old woman in control of her life. She makes her own decisions regarding herself, her work, and her husband and child. When her father suddenly grows ill - seriously ill, Agnethe hears from a doctor that he has only three weeks left. As he becomes bitter and introverted, Agnethe insists that he comes to live with her and her family these few weeks. They all try to cope with the situation. Three weeks pass by. A month. Agnethe’s father does not die. Space is limited in every possible way. Agnethe’s husband seeks comfort outside of their home, her daughter begins to rebel and the relationship between Agnethe and her father that had been strained for years is worsening again.
