Nostos: l ritorno (Nostos: The Return)

Nostos, fresh from the violence of war, feels a yearning to return to his own country. To find it again he takes a long and difficult route, both because it is fraught with natural obstacles and because he is curious to discover new people and places. His recurrent nightmare of the slaughter, the encounter with the ghost of his mother, his prayer to the great tree to reveal the way home, his stop in the realm of oblivion, the shipwreck and the loss of his' friends, his love meeting in the earthly paradise are all emblematic moments of an Inner journey that lead him to rediscover the world and himself.
