Lawrence of Arabia stars Peter O'Toole as the title character, T.E. Lawrence, in a film of
grandeur and epic measurements. The film begins with the death of Lawrence. Suddenly, we're in British headquarters in Cairo during WW I. Lawrence is a 29 year-old General Staff desk man and not very interested in his work, as it provides none of the adventure for which he has joined the service. He is, however, transfered to Arabia at the request of the British Arab Bureau and, once there, helps promote an Arab rebellion against the Turks who rule the area. In order to do this, he must unite the warring Arab factions.
