In May 1998, 10 people decide to turn their lives in Berlin into fiction for two weeks. They play “killer”, a game in which no one knows the others and each is both perpetrator and victim. Their mission is to trace out an assigned, but previously unknown person and conceive the perfect murder for their victim. In the knowledge that at the same time someone else is following one’s own trail, the players set out to search for the unknown persons. They cast a net across the city: the paths taken, places visited and encounters draw a subjective sketch of present day life in Berlin during the interim.
