Watching Is It Heaven Yet? is one of those times, as with : Chan is Missing, when you know you're seeing a new and exciting talent emerge. It is one of the funniest sustained comedic performances I've seen this year, by the film's author, whose sensibility seems to fall somewhere between Jacques Tati, Woody Allen and Andy Kaufman. "Life is a road of little miseries where the philosopher strolls happily." We can only hope Caldana comes up with a bigger budget next time, because that should be something to see.
