A nice guy decides to do a good deed and prove he has a wild side at the same time, with disastrous results, in the comedy ‘I Kina Spiser De Hunde’. Arvid is a clerk at a bank who is on the outs with his girlfriend, Henne - she tells him she wants to break up because he's just too boring for her. One day, Arvid is at work when a bank robber named Franz tries to clear out the bank's vault. Arvid attacks Franz with a squash racquet, foiling the robbery as Franz is carted off to jail. Arvid hopes Henne will be impressed by this bit of daring-do, but he's soon approached by Astrid, Franz's wife. She claims the couple has been wanting to have a baby, and Franz pulled the job only to raise the money for artificial insemination treatments. Arvid buys this story and plots a scheme to raise the money by robbing a mail van, with Arvid's brother Harold, who runs a restaurant, offering his grudging assistance and bringing along two cooks as helpers. However, after they pull the job, Arvid has to figure out how to get Franz out of jail; in the meantime, Astrid has disappeared, and so has the money from the robbery. (Mark Deming)
