lt's summer 1965 and the mini skirts are shorter than ever. Everyone's listening to music by The Beatles and The Byrds. The Vietnam war Is a long way away and optimism is riding high In Sweden. This summer will change 17 year old Rita's life. Up to now she'd always been the typical upper middle class daughter, her life a round of dinner parties, tennis and pheasant hunts. Then she meets her prince. Jimmy has the wrong sort of family background. He dresses rakishly, is impolite and rebellious. Rita finds him irresistible, a revolutionary, generous and sincere. She's not her father's daughter any more.
