Hin helgu vé (The Sacred Mound)

The seven-year-old Gestur lives with his mother in a typical town environment. The micro-wave is as familiar to him as his computer games. One day he is sent to a farm on a remote island, when his mother has to go abroad on business. On the island he gets to know Helga, who seems willing to take on a mother's role. But the boy is reaching an age of sexual awareness and instead of regarding her as a mother figure, he falls obsessively in love with her. His feelings soon become so strong that he cannot stand the thought of another man taking his '"girlfriend" away from him.
