Elin and her teenage friends are growing up in Åmål, a sleepy little town in Sweden. This place is just about the most boring place on earth or, as Elin says in her inimitable fashion - “fucking Åmål!” Nothing ever happens until Elin makes an unexpected move - she goes to the wrong party - and her life takes a new direction.
