Robert Zemeckis

Forrest Gump

142' - 1994 - Drama, Romance - Dialogue: English
Director: Robert Zemeckis Composer: Alan Silvestri With: Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Sally Field
Forrest Gump is a man in his 30s, yet his words and actions are awkward - like a child's. Wearing a rumpled suit, worn-down running shoes and carrying an aged leather suitcase full of treasures, he happily shares tales of his extraordinary life with a host of passers-by. Tom Hanks stars as Forrest Gump, a slow-witted innocent with a generous heart and a confounded ability to find himself in some of the most remarkable events in US history, beginning with his childhood in the l 950s. Although he catapulted to celebrity status when he miraculously becomes an All-American football player, a decorated war hero and a successful businessman, he never gives up seeking what is most important in his life - the love of his very special friend.
