Anton, a young writer suffering from writer's block, finds himself in Ethiopia in the town of Harar. While visiting the house where Rimbaud once lived, he meets Zeleka, keeper of an ancestral feud. Leaving his partner Julie, who works for a humanitarian organization, he moves into Rimbaud's house with Yssa, Zeleka's granddaughter. Lead by the old woman's will, he follows a surreal search for the lost poet to the point of losing his sense of seH. leaving Yssa, he ends up disappearing. Julie returns quickly from Paris and throws herself into the task of looking for him. She finds him eventually, but for Anton, returning is no longer possible.
