Erreur de jeunesse

Central character is Antoine, an aspiring poet with a passion for T.S.Eliot. He works nights in a printing plant and befriends a cynical layabout, Paul, with an anecdotal knowledge of poetry. His neighbors include an old woman, who makes mysterious late night phone calls from a public booth to a rich businessman, and a pretty young blond girl of good family, Françoise, who tries to draw Antoine into her sexually desperate void.
