Edes Emma, Draga Böbe

Emma and Böbe, two teachers, share a shabby room in a Budapest hostel lor teachers. The change of the political system swept away the obligation of learning Russian. Therefore the girls must switch to English. They attend an evening course and the next morning teach their new knowledge at school. Emma has a hopeless affair with the school director; Böbe picks up foreigners in hotel bars lor some dinner invitation. They struggle for life, lor their social position. They don't want to become 'country girls' again.
