Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson may have launched their careers as teenage idols in blockbuster franchises The Hunger Games and Twilight, but both have since — through sharp career choices and sheer talent — reinvented themselves as bona fide arthouse darlings. That reputation is only reinforced in Lynne Ramsay’s disorienting marital drama Die, My Love. Adapted from Ariana Harwicz’s acclaimed novella, the film follows Jack and Grace, a couple slowly losing their grip on reality after the birth of their first child. Grace in particular struggles with her new identity and the crushing weight of postpartum depression.
