Karsten is a 29-year-old, somewhat confused crook, who is about to leave from prison. He meets his former girlfriend and is confronted with the fact that he has a 12-year-old daughter, Louise. Much to his surprise he instantly feels close to his daughter and when she tells him that she is not happy living with her mother, because of her stepfather, he forgets about prison and decides to take her to a trip to Sweden with his friend Peter. It is no coincidence that they go to Sweden, because somewhere up north live to lovely ladies whom they want to visit - and furthermore Karsten always had a wish to see a moose - and chances are that he might see one in Sweden. The three part without really considering the consequences…
