A provocative tale of eroticism and technology, "Crash" explores the sexual passion provoked y traumatic automobile accidents. Based on the novel of the same name by British writer J.G. Ballard, "Crash" delves into the lives of advertising executive James Ballard and his wife Catherine who lead complex, if hollow, sexual lives. Following a near-fatal car crash with Dr. Helen Remington, Ballard is drawn into an exploration of the connections between danger, sex and death. Ballard and his wife subsequently become involved with Vaughan, a scientist and Gabrielle, an accident victim. As their involvement with the couple deepens, James and Catherine discover new and disturbing ways of expressing love.
