Beautiful Lauren Whitney has just lost her father. She decides to take the family business in her hands hut finds it too great a taak for her alone. She hires Marcus Rogenrat to help her. lndeed he turns out to be the perfect business associate for her. More than perfect; Lauren falie in love with Marcus. After their marriage all seems to be well, until Rogenrat takes over the business operations and engages in illegal activities. He runs the office like a ruthless dictator, to Lauren's great distress. Enters our hero, Waldo Thorneycroft, one of Rogenrat's employees.
