Goran Paskaljevic

Baril de poudre (Bure Baruta)

102' - 1998 - Drama, Comedy - Dialogue: Serbian
Director: Goran Paskaljevic Composer: Zoran Simjanovic With: Predrag 'Miki' Manojlovic, Mirjana Jokovic, Lazar Ristovski
Göran Paskaljevic, who was among our guests in Ghent a few years back with “The Guardian Angel”, has made a new film with several actors we already know from the cast of “Underground”. “Bure Baruta” is a tragi-comic, unreal and absurd film, says Paskaljevic. He made this film in an attempt to capture the present-day spirit of the peoples of the former Yugoslavia, the life of everyday people portrayed by six main characters: Boris, Mané, Dimitri, Ana, Kosta and Natalja. Based in Belgrade, the film shows the whims of fate that end up bringing these people together.
