Baka

55' - 1996 - Documentary - Dialogue: Dutch
Director: Thierry Knauff With: Baka Pygmeas
The Baka Pygmeas live in the equatorial forest of South-East Cameroon. To name themselves, the Baka chose a word from their language that means "the gesture of the bird touching the branch." When the berries of the branch have been eaten, the birds "sing the tree" to thank it. Then they fly away to other trees.
