Edition 1984
95' - 1984 - Drama - Dialogue: Icelandic

"The Atom Station" deals with the most controversial issue in Iceland after World War II: the attitude towards the NATO base in Keflavik. The story takes place in the post-war climate, when a foreign super power wants to establish an atomic station in Iceland and corrupt politicians try to carry it through Parliament. The story of a nation is reflected in the story of a young girl who has to choose between two men, two life styles. How is she to maintain her freedom as a person ? How is a small nation to keep its independence in the struggle between the great powers ?
