A story of innocent love between a young man in his mid-teens and a slightly older woman. Antoine Doinel, 17, lives in Clichy and works at a record factory. One evening he goes to a concert by the 'Young Musicians' where he meets Colette. He falls desperately in love with her. He writes to her, make phone calls, takes het out to the cinema, gives her presents, and even moves to an apartment close to where she lives with her parents. For Colette, he's nothing but a good friend. One evening she invites him to dinner. During the meal, the bell rings and Albert Tazzi, Colette's friend comes in...
