André Delvaux: écouter, voir, aimer

Bonnaffé describes his film as an impressionistic look on Delvaux, during the filming of BENVENUTA. This love story, based on a novel by Susanne Lilar, between a young female piano player (Fanny Ardant) living in Ghent and a much older Italian magistrate (Vittorio Gassman) was filmed on location in Brussels, Ghent and Milan. Bonnaffé's film mixes interviews (Delvaux, Ardant, Gassman, Fabian, Carrière, Wauthion) with excerpts of the former Delvaux films.
